Hitmen score four unanswered goals to top Hurricanes 4-1 in Lethbridge on Saturday.
Lethbridge, AB – Zane Jones had a goal and an assist leading the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Saturday night at Enmax Centre.
The victory improves the Hitmen road record to a WHL best 13-1-0-1 and earns the club a split of their home and home series with the Hurricanes.
After Graham Hood opened the scoring for Lethbridge it was all Calgary as Jones, Brady Brassart, Jaynen Rissling and Greg Chase scored four unanswered goals.
Chris Driedger made 23 saves to pick up the win in net as the Hitmen outshot Lethbridge 39-24.
Calgary, now 24-9-1-3, will wrap up their two game road trip Monday night in Cranbrook for a New Year’s Eve contest against the Kootenay Ice.
Game time is 5:00 p.m. with the Broadcast on Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
