The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club announced today that they have acquired 19-year-old left wing Colten Mayor from the Regina Pats in exchange for 18-year-old right wing Carson Samoridny and a fourth round pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.

“We are excited to add a player with Colten’s ability to our lineup.  We believe he will be a top-six forward and should complement our team well,” said Hitmen General Manager, Executive Vice President and Alternate Governor Kelly Kisio. “We would like to thank Carson for his time in Calgary and wish him success with the Pats.”

Mayor, a native of St. Albert, Alberta, has 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points along with 55 penalty minutes over 44 games with the Pats and Red Deer Rebels this season.  Regina acquired Mayor in October 2012 from the Rebels. The 6-1, 176-pound, forward has played 201 career WHL games over the last four seasons accumulating 36 goals and 48 assists for 84 points and 171 penalty minutes.
