Calgary Earns Second Pre-Season Win

The Calgary Hitmen defeated the Swift Broncos 5-1 Sunday afternoon at the sixth annual Edmonton Oil Kings Pre-Season Invitational, recording their second pre-season victory.

Ryley Bennefield netted a pair of goals for Calgary, while Jaynen Rissling, Austin Calladine and Brooks Macek also scored in the win.  

Brady Brassart chipped in three assists in the victory as Mack Shields recorded 23 saves for the Hitmen.

Calgary returns to pre-season action on Wednesday, September 5 when they travel to Taber, AB, to face the Lethbridge Hurricanes at 7 p.m.  The Hitmen then host the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, September 7 at the Markin MacPhail Centre, 145 Canada Olympic Road SW, with a 7 p.m. puck drop.  Admission is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children and students.  Tickets will be available at the door.
