HITMEN FIGHT CANCER INITIATIVE A SUCCESS

The fourth annual 'Hitmen Fight Cancer' campaign presented by Delta West Academy raised more than $13,400
The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club, in partnership with Delta West Academy, are proud to announce the fourth annual Hitmen Fight Cancer campaign raised more than $13,400 to support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Prairies/NWT Region as well as the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta.
Funds were raised by fans through an online game-worn pink jersey auction that included a Hitmen pink jersey autographed by Justin Bieber. In addition, 50/50 proceeds and on-site donations from the October 28th Hitmen Fight Cancer game will be directed to both foundations.
“Once again the passion and commitment in the fight against cancer was demonstrated by Hitmen fans,” stated Hitmen Director of Business Operations Mike Moore. “On behalf of the entire organization, I would like to thank Delta West Academy and everyone involved in this important initiative.”
In four years, the Calgary Hitmen with the support of their partners, players, staff and fans, have raised over $71,900 through the club’s October cancer awareness initiatives.
