The Calgary Hitmen remain undefeated on the road as they top the Edmonton Oil Kings 5-4 in a shootout.
Greg Chase scored the shootout winner lifting the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-4 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings Friday night at Rexall Place. Calgary now leads the season series 3-0.
Brooks Macek led the Hitmen scoring charge with two goals, extending his point streak to seven games. Carson Samoridny and Peter Kosterman, with his first of the season, also scored for Calgary. Brady Brassart, now with at least one point in every game this season, added two assists.
Chris Driedger made 32 saves in the win as the Hitmen have yet to lose a game in regulation this season, improving their record to 5-0-1-1.
Calgary returns to the Scotiabank Saddledome for back-to-back home games beginning Saturday at 7 p.m. against the Red Deer Rebels and wrapping up Sunday at 4 p.m. versus the Kamloops Blazers.
