The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club announced today that they have acquired a fourth round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for forward Rob Trzonkowski.
“We would like to thank Rob for two seasons in Calgary and wish him success with the Blazers,” commented Calgary Hitmen Executive VP, Alternate Governor and General Manager Kelly Kisio.
Trzonkowski, a native of Calgary, Alberta, recorded four goals and 12 assists for 16 points and had 200 penalty minutes over 111 games. The 18-year-old forward represented Team Pacific in the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge where he tallied three goals.
The Hitmen drafted Trzonkowski in the eighth round, 155th overall, in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.
