HUGE DAY FOR CHARITY!
 


On Sunday, December 13th, 2009 the Calgary Hitmen played host to the Kootenay Ice in the 15th annual Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss.

The Hitmen did not disappoint producing a dramatic come-from-behind win.

Chase Schaber scored the shootout winner in a 3-2 victory over the Kootenay Ice.

Del Cowan forced overtime scoring the tying goal for Calgary with 2:41 remaining in the third period.

It was Ian Schultz who opened the scoring for the Hitmen at 9:19 of the second period to trigger a massive avalanche of teddy bears. In total fans tossed 16,755 stuffed toys on the ice which were shared by over 50 local charities.
